O PROJEKTU

WHAT IS
SOUNDS GOOD?

saxofon_muj.png

When you've got a kid who is passionate about music...

Does your child show an interest in music and want to experience it in ways other than just playing on their own?

Sounds Good is a six-day chamber music program for children who already play an instrument or sing and want to take their experience further.

In a small group and within an inspiring environment, children will experience what it's like to be part of a band or orchestra. It's not just about their own performance but about collaborative creation – the ability to listen to others, respond to them, and participate in the creation of music as a whole.

The program naturally develops a sense of collaboration, a sense of music in a broader context, and brings the joy of a shared
experience. The band becomes a living

organism, shaped by every individual within it.

Does your child want to play in a band
or orchestra?

Sounds Good!

The program is for children who:

enjoy music and want to experience it outside of regular classes.

are approximately 8 – 13 years old.

have been playing for at least 2 years and are eager to try playing with others.

The program requires basic proficiency on an instrument and is therefore not suitable for complete beginners.

WHO IS SOUNDS GOOD FOR?

and the PROGRAM
...how does it  work?

Summer fun, music, and memories that last.

The residency is led by experienced musician and producer Jana Malisová, ensuring a high standard of teaching and a meaningful musical experience. The repertoire is tailored to the skills and experience of the participants, ensuring that each child can actively engage and grow throughout the week. At the same time, we keep in mind that it’s summer — which is why the program takes place in a modern villa in Prague, complete with a garden and swimming pool, where children can enjoy time to relax alongside focused musical work.

What to expect during the week:

– Daily program from 10:00 to 18:00.
– Playing together in a band or orchestra setting.
– A repertoire across different musical genres, adapted to participants’ abilities.
– Development of musical skills as well as teamwork.
– Space for experimenting with sound, instruments, and voice.
– A creative and supportive small-group environment.
– A modern villa setting with a garden and indoor pool.

Sounds like Jana

founder and main lecturer of the project

Jana Malisová is a pianist and educator who combines her experience from professional musical practice with a genuine joy for working with children. Alongside her performance career, she has also been continuously involved in chamber music.

A significant part of her career is connected to the Ballet of the National Theatre, where she worked as a répétiteur and later as a production manager for international tours. She took part in the preparation of numerous productions, gaining valuable experience in a top-tier artistic environment.

She currently focuses primarily on teaching—both privately and at ISMFA. She enjoys nurturing children’s relationship with music, supporting their natural expression, and helping them build confidence in both playing and performing. She believes that music should прежде all be about joy and sharing.

She studied piano and organ at the Teplice Conservatory and is a laureate of the Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte and Concertino Praga competitions.

"I enjoy developing children's talent, passing on the joy of music, and encouraging children not to be afraid to perform and share musical experiences with others."

O MÍSTU

WHERE DOES IT SOUND GOOD

Sounds Good takes place in a modern villa in a quiet part of Prague's Lysolaje.

We chose the space so that it would offer the children not only a calm environment for focused musical work, but also enough space for relaxation and free time.

The villa features a large garden ideal for outdoor activities, a saltwater pool for summer refreshment, and social moments between rehearsals. There is also a ping-pong table, table football, or a cinema room where children can relax and share their day's experiences. The whole environment supports a natural combination of concentration, creativity, and a relaxed summer atmosphere - so that children take away not only a new musical experience, but also a strong shared experience.
